Marilyn Monroe

The Blonde Bombshell was born Norma Jean Mortensen in 1926 and baptized Norma Jean Baker in Los Angeles. She grew up in foster homes and orphanages and when she was 16, her photogenic beauty was discovered while she was working at a munitions factory and she began modeling. Four years later she had her first screen test with 20th Century Fox. Her movie roles in such films as "Some Like It Hot" and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" established her as one of the most popular movie stars of the 1950s and 1960s. "The Misfits" was the last film that Marilyn -- and her co-star Clark Gable -- lived to complete. Nearly fifty years after her mysterious death, Marilyn Monroe continues to garner the adoration and devotion of movie fans around the world.

Batman
