Desert
The term "desert" has become synonymous with barrenness and harshness. But many people are building homes there, searching for and finding peace, solitude, and clean air in the open spaces of the American deserts.
Some of the most sought after images of the desert are Ansel Adams' black and white photographs. Also coveted and highly collectible are Alfred Gocket's paintings and John Nakata's colorful photos which portray the unique peace and stunning beauty of the desert spaces.
New York
It's called "The Big Apple," and "The City That Never Sleeps." Officially, however, its name is "The City of New York." Founded in 1625, New York's 8.2 million residents make it the largest city in the US, a rank that it's held since 1790. With bustling traffic, towering skyscrapers, and a 24-hour subway, it's not a place for anyone looking for peace and quiet.
But there's plenty to see and do in New York City -- the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Empire State Building, Wall Street, Harlem, the United Nations, hundreds of the finest restaurants in the world, and Broadway. New York City is a dream destination for every tourist and an unforgettable monument for every American patriot.
